Climate related Sustainability Targets and Results at Tokmanni Group in 2024
- Reducing emissions in the Tokmanni segment by 70% by 2025 compared to the baseline year of 2015 in accordance with the target confirmed by SBTi. I We reduced emissions by 71.5% compared to the baseline year of 2015.
- Calculating the baseline year emissions of the Tokmanni Group and defining new Scope 1, 2, and 3 climate targets. I The baseline year emissions were calculated, and the Group’s new climate targets in accordance with SBTi’s short-term criteria will be submitted to SBTi for approval during 2025.
- Reducing the comparable energy consumption of the Tokmanni segment by 1% compared to 2023. I The total energy consumption decreased by 7% compared to 2023.
- Tokmanni segment recycling and reuse rate: 85% of total waste. | Partially achieved: 82.9% in 2024. The recycling and reuse rate for the whole Group was 80.8%.
- Tokmanni variety discount retail chain’s goal is to be carbon neutral in its own operations in 2025. We reduced emissions from our own operations in accordance with the SBT target in 2024, but achieving carbon neutrality in 2025 will also require emission compensation.
- Maintaining Tokmanni segment’s CO2 emissions intensity from transport at the 2015 level in relation to revenue | Partially achieved: 2024 ratio: 14.3 t CO2/M Eur (2015 ratio 11.5t CO2/M Eur). Although the target was not fully achieved, in the Tokmanni segment’s Asian transport, 5,830 tons of CO2 emissions were avoided during the reporting period by transitioning to EcoDelivery transport, i.e., by changing fuels.
- Decreasing emissions in the supply chain in cooperation with suppliers (science-based climate targets, Scope 3 target) | Partially achieved: 48% of Tokmanni segment’s suppliers by spend have set science-based targets. Work to engage suppliers continues at the Group level.

- We have decided to set a new, Group-level SBTi commitment during 2025, covering both our own operations and our value chain.
