Products and Sourcing related Sustainability Targets and Results at Tokmanni Group in 2024
- Increase the impact of Group’s own assessments: altogether 100 own and third-party factory assessments. | Tokmanni Group conducted 57 own factory assessments and 64 third-party assessments during 2024.
- No serious product safety flaws in products sold by the Group, and reducing complaints in private label products. | There were no serious product safety flaws in the sold products, and complaints related to private label products were less than 3% (baseline 5%) in 2024.
- Promoting sustainable choices at Tokmanni stores. The Trust&Reputation survey’s sustainability score for Tokmanni variety discount retail chain over 3.34 on a scale of 1–5. In the study, the following statement is presented to consumers: Tokmanni acts correctly and sustainably – takes society and the environment into account (in Finnish: Tokmanni toimii oikein ja vastuullisesti – huomioi yhteiskunnan ja ympäristön). | The Trust&Reputation survey’s sustainability score was 3.42 for Tokmanni variety discount store chain in 2024.
- Supplier management system implemented in Tokmanni variety discount retail chain during 2024. | In 2024, Tokmanni variety discount retail chain started the project to build a supplier management system.
- Responsible sourcing guidelines adopted at Group-level (incl. Group-level human rights due diligence process definition). | In 2024, the guidelines for responsible purchasing were approved at the Group-level. The implementation of these guidelines at the Group-level will continue in 2025.
- Amfori BSCI Compliance Rate 100% for Tokmanni segment and 80% for Dollarstore segment. | In 2023, in order to improve efficiency and accuracy, Tokmanni segment started automating manual data collection, which required significant changes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Because of this, the amfori BSCI compliance percentage for 2024 is based on an estimate based on the 2023 results. The estimated compliance percentage for 2024 is 97% since the principles of responsible purchasing and related processes have remained the same compared to 2023. In the Dollarstore segment, the implementation of practices and processes is still ongoing.
Products and Sourcing related Sustainability Targets at Tokmanni Group in 2025
People in the value chain:
- Amfori BSCI Compliance Rate 100%* for Tokmanni segment and 85% for Dollarstore segment.
- No zero tolerance cases at Group-level.
* All factories in high-risk countries that manufacture products under brands managed by the Tokmanni Group must have a valid amfori BSCI audit with a grade of A, B or C, or an equivalent audit (e.g. SA8000).
Consumers and end-users:
- No serious product safety flaws in products sold by the Group.
- No notices from the authorities related to marketing.
- No significant or suspected cases of material privacy protection breaches in systems and registers.
- No material corrective notices from data protection authorities.
- Sustainability score of Reputation&Trust survey for Tokmanni variety discount retail chain: 3,44.
- Overall score of Reputation&Trust survey for Tokmanni variety discount retail chain: 3,62.
