Espoo is getting its second Click Shoes store as a new location opens its doors for the first time in the Lippulaiva urban centre on Thursday 17 September. The photo above shows the Click Shoes store in the Hansa shopping centre in Turku.
Tokmanni Group’s Click Shoes shoe store chain is expanding its store network by opening a new store in the Lippulaiva urban centre in Espoo. In addition, in Lohja, the Group’s Tokmanni variety discount retail chain will concentrate shopping in its large Lempola store and close its smaller store in the city centre. Further store openings are also planned in Finland later this year, as construction of a new Tokmanni store in Kivistö in Vantaa, continues to progress.
In the Lippulaiva urban centre in Espoo, the new Click Shoes store will open its doors on the second floor as early as Thursday 17 September at 10 am.
“The Click Shoes store opening at the Lippulaiva urban centre will be an excellent addition to our store network. So far, we have only one Click Shoes store in Espoo, located on the other side of the city at the Sello shopping centre in Leppävaara,” says Tiina Virtanen, Retail Operations Manager at Click Shoes.
Located in a prime spot within the Lippulaiva urban centre, the retail space is perfectly sized for daily shoe store operations, enabling a comprehensive selection of footwear. In line with the Click Shoes concept, the store will offer footwear from many international brands, such as Skechers, Rieker, Bugatti, Tamaris and Caprice. The selection will also include a wide range of shoes from Catmandoo and 2Moons, both of which are Tokmanni Group’s own brands, as well as shoe care and maintenance products from Springyard.
Customer service at the Lippulaiva store will be provided by three service-minded employees with a strong interest in footwear retail. Following the opening of the new store, Tokmanni Group has a total of 35 footwear-focused Click Shoes and Shoe House stores.
In Lohja, the Group’s Tokmanni variety discount retail chain will close its store in the city centre following the expiry of the lease agreement. The city-centre store offers a clearly more compact product range than the other Tokmanni store in Lohja. The closing-down sale will launch in late September, and the city-centre store will close in November.
Going forward, Tokmanni will focus its retail offering in Lohja on its larger, more versatile store in the Lempola district. The Lempola store is approximately twice the size of the city-centre store and offers a significantly wider product range, making it better equipped to meet customers’ needs and expectations.
In Kivistö, Vantaa, construction of the new Tokmanni store is advancing at a brisk pace. The completely new store building being constructed in the growing Kivistö district is on track to open in time for customers to do their Christmas shopping. Tokmanni first announced the Kivistö store project in December last year.
In addition to the above, the Tokmanni variety discount retail chain has previously announced plans to open a new Tokmanni store in Kuopio next year and to close its Tokmanni store in Suolahti this autumn. Further details on other store projects, including Tokmanni’s upcoming EUROSPAR supermarkets, will be announced at a later date.
