Tokmanni Oy has signed long-term lease agreements for commercial premises in Kimitoön in Southwest Finland and Jokela in Tuusula and has started construction of a store building in Nilsiä in Kuopio.
In Kimitoön, Tokmanni will gain possession of the new premises of around 2,500 square metres at the beginning of August. The commercial premises are in a prime location in the centre of Kimitoön at Wuorionkuja 4, 25700 in Kemiö. After gaining possession of the premises, Tokmanni will immediately start furnishing and stocking the new store. The opening of the new Tokmanni store, which will cater for Kimitoön’s permanent residents and second-home owners with varied assortments, will be celebrated around the end of August and beginning of September.
“Tokmanni has been looking for a good and sufficiently large store on the island of Kimitoön for years. We are very happy that we will now be able to offer Tokmanni’s extensive and affordable assortment of products and services to the permanent residents and large number of second-home owners of Kimitoön and other visitors to the municipality,” says Harri Koponen, Vice President, Store Network and Concept at Tokmanni.
Also, in the fast-growing area of Jokela in the municipality of Tuusula, Tokmanni has signed a long-term lease agreement for commercial premises of approximately 2,500 square metres located at the address Kolsantie 2, 05400 Jokela. Tokmanni will gain possession of the property in Jokela in October. The aim is to open the comprehensive Tokmanni store in Jokela in November this year.
“Our Tokmanni store, which will open in the bustling and fast-growing Jokela area of Tuusula, will improve the services available to the residents of Jokela and will be an excellent addition to the Tokmanni store network in Central Uusimaa,” Koponen says.
Construction of Tokmanni’s new store building in Nilsiä, Kuopio has been started. Tokmanni aims to open a store that will be more than twice the size in terms of floor space and assortments of the current Tokmanni store in Nilsiä in November this year. The new store that will be opened in Nilsiä at the address Nilsiäntie 70, 73300, will replace the long-serving Tokmanni store nearby.
